Setting Changes for Homefinder Mail in Outlook XP/2002

First, click on the Tools menu. Then select the E-Mail Accounts option (see below).

The first E-Mail Accounts screen will then appear. Make certain that
View or change existing e-mail accounts is selected, and then click Next (see below).

On the second E-Mail Accounts screen, make sure that the mail.homefinder.org account
is selected, and then click the button marked Change.

Below is an example of the third E-Mail Account screen, which should read
Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) at the top of the screen.

There are two changes to make on this screen. First, in the User Name area,
add "@homefinder.org" to the end of the existing User Name.

For example, in the diagram above, the value is changed from "jsample" to "jsample@homefinder.org".

Secondly, you will need to change the value listed for Outgoing mail server (SMTP).
Change the outgoing mail server to mail.homefinder.org unless your Internet Provider
is SBC If your Internet Provider is SBC use their outgoing mail server listed in the table
below.

Internet ProviderOutgoing (SMTP) Setting
Consultechmail.homefinder.org
SBC/Yahoo DSL (SBCGlobal e-mail)smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com

For example, below the setting is changed from mail.homefinder.org to mail.bluemarble.net

Now that you have changed these two settings, click on the button marked Test Account Settings ....

The following test screen will pop up and run the required tests.

Once the test has finished, click the Close button. If there were any problems with the test,
feel free to back up and check your settings using this page as a guide.

Once you've closed the test screen, you will be returned to the E-Mail Accounts screen
showing the changed settings. From this screen, click Next.

Lastly, from the below screen, click the Finish button to complete the process.

Congratulations! You should now be able to send and receive with the new Homefinder e-mail system.
You should soon receive a Microsoft Outlook Test Message in your e-mail, which was generated
when you ran the e-mail settings test earlier in this procedure. If you have any other questions
about these changes, please feel free to contact us at Homefinder Support
