Setting Changes for Homefinder Mail in Outlook 2000

First, click on the Tools menu. Then select the Services option (see below).

The Services screen will then appear. Select the account that
corresponds to Homefinder (it will probably have 'Homefinder'
or 'real estate' in the name), and then click Properties.

You will now be shown the Properties screen for the account
selected. On this screen, select the Servers tab bar.

Once you have selected the Servers tab, the following screen
will appear with the settings that we are going to modify.

There are two changes to make on this screen. First, in the Account Name area,
add "@homefinder.org" to the end of the existing User Name.

For example, in the diagram above, the value is changed from "jsample" to "jsample@homefinder.org".

There are two changes to make on this screen. First, in the Server Information area, you will need to change
the Outgoing mail (SMTP) setting. Change the outgoing mail server to mail.homefinder.org unless your
Internet Provider is SBC If your Internet Provider is SBC use their outgoing mail server listed in the
table below.

Internet ProviderOutgoing (SMTP) Setting
ConsulTechmail.homefinder.org
SBC/Yahoo DSL (SBCGlobal e-mail)smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com

For example, below the setting is changed from mail.homefinder.org to mail.bluemarble.net
if you are connected to the Internet via Smithville DSL.

Now that you have changed these two settings, click on the button marked OK.

You will be returned to the Services screen, where you will need to click OK again.

Now you will be on the main Outlook screen. From here click on the Send/Receive button
to verify that your settings have been changed correctly.

Congratulations! You should now be able to send and receive with the new Homefinder e-mail system.
